“Audacity by @plowdenandfallow cuts itself with the same quintessentially British verve as an impeccably dressed protagonist straight out of a P.G. Wodehouse novel. It’s as if someone took all that was cool about Great Britain back in the roaring 20s and distilled it into a zippy, modern aromatic fragrance.
A durable eau de parfum with a softly radiating sillage, Audacity opens sharply with the zest of grapefruit, crushed to perfection and jumbled with pink pepper and juniper for an opening that’s as fresh and enlivening as a dry London gin and tonic.
You’re at a party with your g&t in hand, surrounded by graceful young socialites and foppish dandies—same universe, same era. You're dressed to the nines and dripping in fine jewellery. The debonair gentleman from earlier in our review has tentatively made his way across the crowded ballroom and proffered you a cigarette. Tasting the dry, perfumed woodiness of the tobacco in the air, you acquiesce, removing one from his outstretched hand and placing it against your lip. You sense a crisp, verdant trace from his mossy vetiver and geranium cologne as he leans in to ignite the finely rolled paper and kindle your Sweet Afton.
Nicotine rushes to your head and the night rolls on, full of audaciousness and riotous antics. The sort of wild and heady evening that causes ripples of gossip to burn like wildfire through high society in the ensuing days and weeks.
