Ophrys perfume review
We here at Plowden & Fallow always endeavour to share with our journal readers third party reviews, or musings regarding our fragranced creations. Recently, we have been delighted to read The Black Pearl’s Blog review of Ophrys, written by Sandra, a beauty, fashion, homewares and lifestyle blogger based in Glasgow.
An excerpt from the blog follows:
“But let's talk about the fragrance! Ophrys EDP is described as a summery botanical potion, with green aromatic and floral undertones that capture daring romantic notions of an era gone by, a love for exploration, discovery and the classical splendour of the English garden in bloom. The description itself would make me buy it immediately! How blooming lovely does this sound? And believe me, it smells incredible!
Featuring top notes of Petitgrain, heart notes of Orange Blossom, Peony and Rose Absolute and base notes of Hay Absolute, Musk, Patchouli and Sandalwood, the fragrance is a floral dream! It's not your usual rose scent though, it has more depth and uniqueness to it. The base notes add a sophisticated woody aroma and the touch of Petitgrain brings some freshness. I would say that Ophrys is definitely more on the heavy side, but it is still quite delicate at the same time. It's so beautiful ,even my daughter (who finds most fragrances too heavy) complimented me on it and that does not happen very often!
It is a unisex scent with floral notes, which is quite rare and not easy to achieve in my opinion. I find most scents with rose very feminine, but Ophrys is the perfect balance. I absolutely adore it and simply can't get enough!”
