Here at Plowden & Fallow we are always delighted to hear the thoughts of our customers and those that kindly review our fragranced ranges. We are therefore delighted to share an excerpt of a review by The Scentiest on our Squire Jack Eau de Parfum, which captures the mood and the fragrance perfectly:

“Lately, I’ve been delving into the fragrant potion that is Squire Jack, a perfume from the clever chaps at @plowdenandfallow , an up and coming British perfume brand for well dressed Tommy’s. I can only aspire to include myself, ha!

Picture this, if you will: a foppish gentleman of leisure, sporting a rakish cravat and a mischievous glint in his eye. Jack absolutely wreaks of aromatic cardamom and nutmeg, leaving a trail of spicy intrigue behind as he goes forth. Bergamot sparkles as bright and bubbly as a tray of champagne flutes at the polo club. In his heart, lavender and geranium weave a waltz of charm and good humour.

But don’t be fooled by Squire Jack’s dapper exterior. Beneath the clean musk and powdery orris lies dark adventure. Vetiver whispers, with a stiff upper lip, of moonlit strolls through fragrant woods, while cedar and sandalwood add a touch of rugged charm. And wouldn’t you know it, a hint of lightly coloured amber frankincense peeks through from the base.

It is a complex fragrance and beautifully balanced. Composed to feel smart yet casual, handsome yet playful, Squire Jack is my favourite from the brand and is well worth you exploring.”
