As Featured in THE chap magazine
We are delighted to see Plowden & Fallow and two of our unisex fragrances feature so highly in the latest edition of The Chap Magazine under an editorial review exploring how to get a decent fragrance without it costing the earth.
In this Autumn edition of the magazine, Gustav Temple explores the Plowden & Fallow brand and reviews our Squire Jack and Debonaire fragrances as part of a seven page editorial on the brand and others. Gustav writes (partial excerpt):
Plowden & Fallow squire jack eau de parfum
“Squire Jack has top notes of Bergamot, Lavender, Cardamon and Nutmeg, middle notes of Frankincense, Geranium and Orris, on a base of Vetiver, Musk, Cedar, Oakmoss, Sandalwood and Amber. What this all adds up to is indeed the scent of a libertine, in fact not a million furlongs by thoroughbred bloodstock from our very own Flaneur fragrance. The damp woodiness in the base cuts through the florals, bursting into a fragrant splash of joyous spice that immediately transports one from the drawing room to the opulent Bedouin harem, where more pleasures await.”
Plowden & fallow debonaire eau de parfum
“Along the promenade ambles an elegant figure, crisp white linen trousers flapping over a tatty pair of loafers, a pink sweater flung carelessly over the shoulders of a baggy but perfectly ironed lemon yellow shirt. This is Luciano, once the toast of the town and now in his dotage, yet still aware of the glances from women seated at cafes who should know better. Luciano sighs and keeps walking, wafting the gentle scent he sprayed on earlier that morning and which still makes him feel young: the scent of Debonaire.”
